
Jennifer has always wanted to be a multi-tasking star. Growing up she discovered a wide range different musical styles, but mainly Afro-Caribbean music like salsa, merengue and bachata. She also enjoyed mainstream music , like hip-hop, pop and R&B. Although she loved music and film, the industry of cinema also attracted her. West Side Story, a musical performed by Rita Moreno (1961), was her biggest inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer wasn't just a talented entertainer. She also spent 8 years in an Catholic elementary school called Holy Family. Jennifer then was able to graduate after 4 years at Preston High School. Jennifer excelled in athletics during her time at school, and was a champion in track and field as well as tennis. At Castle Hill, she spent the majority of her time in a 2-story home. As a teenager, Jennifer moved out of her parent's home. Lopez was employed at an attorney firm at work during the day, and then took up dance jobs at night.
